Prime Edinburgh Property is an independent property buying agency based in Edinburgh.

Unlike estate agents who act for sellers, as buyer's agents we only represent buyers, and we have a trusted and respected reputation throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. We search for property, give advice and manage the negotiation process through to a successful purchase.

We are specialists in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife, and offer expert advice to our clients thanks to our local market knowledge, proven track record and importantly, impartiality.

Jamie McNeill set up Prime Edinburgh Property in 2022 with a single aim of helping buyers navigate the challenges of buying a property in Scotland’s capital city.

One of the most respected and experienced operators in the Edinburgh market, he has acted in the sale and purchase of a significant number of the most prestigious family homes, townhouses and apartments in the last 14 years.

Growing up in Edinburgh and the Lothians, Jamie first started out as an estate agent in 2008, working for both a large corporate and small independent agent in the city. Jamie then spent two years in agency London, specialising in the sale of some of the finest properties in south-west London.

Jamie returned to Edinburgh in 2015, heading up the residential sales team at Galbraith – a large independent property consultancy with offices across the UK – before moving to Savills, working in both their Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.

Having been involved in buying and selling property for almost a decade and a half, Jamie has gained an impressive track record, with transactions totalling in excess of £500m.

An expert in the prime Edinburgh city market, Jamie has also bought and sold property across the Lothians, Fife, Perthshire, the Scottish Borders as well as in Glasgow and on the West Coast. This breadth of experience, coupled with his knowledge of both the Scottish and English property markets, gives him a unique advantage when advising clients who are transcending postcodes and borders.

Jamie has access to a vast address book, together with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area, both of which are vital in a competitive market and where properties are sold on a very discrete basis.

Having grown up in the south of Edinburgh, and now living in Stockbridge, Jamie spends much of his time outside of work socialising with friends and family and playing golf. His knowledge of the city’s best bars and restaurants is second to none!
