Morningside, Edinburgh

Hermitage Drive is Edinburgh’s most expensive Street, with the average house costing in excess of £2.5million.

Hermitage Drive, the exclusive residential address in Morningside, is currently the most expensive street in Edinburgh, according to our research.

The street is widely regarded as one of the city’s finest and is made up of predominantly large detached late-Victorian villas which are set in extensive grounds.

The architecture of many of the houses has been influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement of the early 1900’s whilst also featuring some more classic 17th century details. Notable and highly regarded Scottish architect, Sir Robert Lorimer, was one of many who were commissioned to build houses on Hermitage Drive.

Heriot Row in Edinburgh’s New Town is number two in the list, with the average price for a Georgian property costing over £2.48million. Hope Terrace in The Grange makes up the top three.
